Conservatorium Maastricht - Open House & Taster Classes

Maastricht Academy of Music organizes a special Open House and Taster Classes [Dutch: Meeloopdagen] for prospective students. In addition, prospective students are welcome to attend the public final-exam performances (held in January and June), and concert band performances (held in December and April). For more information, please see the monthly diary of events.

Saturday 21 January 2012
for the departments Jazz/Pop and Music in Education

Time:	Between 10.00 and 15.30, prospective students can visit the different departments to find out more about the courses on offer. It is also possible to attend concerts given by lecturers and students.
Location:	Annex [Dutch: Dépendance] Maastricht Academy of Music Fr. Romanusweg 90, 6221 AH Maastricht (10-minute walk from Maastricht Central Station)
Registration:	not necessary

Friday 27 Januari 2012, the Classical Department invites you for an evening full of concerts.
Registration not necessary.

During the Taster Classes, prospective students attend all classes attended by current students. You are also given the opportunity to play before a lecturer, who assesses whether your performance is of a sufficiently high standard to merit admission onto the degree programme. Taster Classes are also a unique opportunity to sample the atmosphere in the Classical Music Department.
Taster Classes differ, depending on your preferred course. Please see the below table for the relevant dates and times:

12 March to 15 March 2012:      Taster Classes Classical Music
14 March to 16 March 2012:      Taster Classes Music in Education

Registration for the Taster Classes is compulsory.

Maastricht Academy of Music organizes regular 'Information Evenings' to showcase its wide array of music programmes. These Information Evenings are designed to provide information for secondary education pupils and can only be booked by e-mail.
