Classical Solo Concertos

Mozart, Haydn, and Lebrun solo concertos on 26, 28 and 30 March 2017

Haydn / Mozart / Lebrun
Johannes Leertouwer

The solo concertos Mozart and Haydn composed for instruments ranging from the violin to the horn to the piano are all exceptionally beautiful.

40 students of Conservatorium Maastricht, varying from Bachelor students to Master students, have auditioned to play one of these concertos; 5 of them were chosen to play solo with the orchestra. Opportunities like this are vitally important in their studies; how to do an audition, how to present yourself etc.

The result is a remarkable and, as already stated, exceptionally beautiful programme: one gem after another! Conducted by specialist Johannes Leertouwer.
