Eva has been teaching classical saxophone at the Maastricht Conservatory since 2016.
In 2008 Eva graduated with honour from the Amsterdam Conservatory, where she studied with her mentor and constant source of inspiration Arno Bornkamp. In that same year, her duo Sax & Stix won the Vriendenkrans, of the Concertgebouw and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. Later, with the Berlage Saxophone Quartet, Eva received both the Jury- and Public Award from the Dutch Classical Talent Award 2013 and the Kersjesprijs 2015.
Both Sax & Stix’s debut album and the Berlage Saxophone Quartet’s first recording received jubilant reviews from both the Dutch and the international music press. Her passion for 1920s and 1930s saxophone music also led to performances and album recordings with the Dudok Quartet and Café Dansant.
Driven by their shared passion for Russian music, Eva has been working with pianist Helena Basilova since 2014. Their CD ´Rendez-vous Russe´ (also with Maria Milstein & Lars Niederstrasser) won the renowned German ´Echo Klassik Preis 2017´.
Eva regularly plays as a substitute for companies such as the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra. As a solo artist, Eva performed with the Doelen Ensemble and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra (Latvia).
