Italian pianist Igor Roma began his studies at the Conservatoire of music in Vicenza with Carlo Mazzoli and continued at the International Piano Academy “Incontri col Maestro” in Imola, where he studied with Franco Scala and graduated as a Master in 1997.
The beginning of his intense and prized international artistic career was winning first prize at the “Franz Liszt” International Piano Competition in Utrecht.
Igor Roma first performed in a piano duet at the Lincoln Center in New York with Enrico Pace in 2002. Together with Pace he also played in the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, where they performed in the presence of former Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands.
He combines his concert activities with an important educational commitment, fulfilled in several conservatoires and music institutions, where he gives piano and chamber music masterclasses including Conservatorium Maastricht.
