Drama teacher, presentation trainer, actress and director Tamara Jongerden (born 1967) started teaching Acting Technique and Stage Presentation to singers and instrumentalists in the Classical Music and Jazz departments of Conservatorium Maastricht in 1998. She teaches Acting and Stage Presentation and directs individual presentations. Within Zuyd University of Applied Sciences, she also gives training courses in presentation and communication skills in other faculties, including the Academy of Fine Arts and Design and the Hotel Management School.
As an actress, she has performed in site-specific theatre productions, e.g. with Zuidelijk Toneel/Hollandia and DASARTS. As a director, she works on varied, usually musical theatre and/or personal documentary theatre productions. She creates her own shows in collaboration with young artists, including the production PERIOD with singers and instrumentalists. Jongerden also writes and directs for others, including Opéra Comique Maastricht, Jong Laagland and community arts theatre group BTM.
