Instrumental studies
Piano

Become the pianist you want to be. The Jazz Piano department is an inspiring environment with plenty of individual attention, and the chance to play exceptional instruments, including Hamburg Steinway models A and B. You build both basic and specific improvisation skills, deepen your knowledge of harmony and apply it across a wide range of musical situations, and immerse yourself in the history of this music. Alongside your instrumental development you learn to play together, grow your bandleading skills, and develop the art of truly listening to each other, guided by our Jazz Piano team of main subject and guest teachers.
