Pieter van Nes (Presentor)

NL

Pieter van Nes is a host and music compiler for KRO-NCRV on radio station NPO Klassiek (formerly Radio 4). There, he presents Passaggio Late Night on Friday nights and the programme De Ochtend on Sunday mornings. He can also regularly be heard as a stand-in on the programmes Maatwerk (Omroep MAX) and the Evening Concert (NTR).
Pieter's musical career began at the ArtEZ Conservatorium in Arnhem, where he studied clarinet and also specialized in conducting. Playing music actively, especially orchestral and chamber music, has always been and remains a great passion, but it soon became clear that it was precisely the story behind the notes that really interested him and that he wanted to continue with that. He therefore decided to study musicology at Utrecht University, where he focused mainly on 19th- and 20th-century music history.
Pieter can be heard regularly on podcasts, enjoys doing interviews, presents concerts and gives lectures.
If it has to do with classical music, Pieter enjoys being part of it.
