Constant Notten

Pianist Constant Notten (born 1958) has worked as a rehearsal pianist at Conservatorium Maastricht since 1985. He also cooperates in the Master's programmes of the Zuid-Nederlandse Hogeschool voor Muziek.

Notten studied piano with Joop Grubben at Conservatorium Maastricht, specialising in chamber music with Jo Dusseldorp. In 1985 he received the Hustinx prize. He participated in a chamber music course in Sweden with Arne Torger and Thomas Brandis.
Constant Notten has accompanied international masterclasses and several competition finals. He has performed in Dutch radio and television programmes such as Geen C te hoog and Reiziger in Muziek and recorded a number of CDs with the Heerlen salon orchestra Dacapo. In 1995, he performed Schubert's Winterreise in Ireland with bass-baritone Huub Claessens. He was the pianist of the children's opera Rigoletto by the Fabulijn company. He participated in many productions of the Limburg Symphony Orchestra, where he also accompanies auditions and masterclasses.
