We are delighted to welcome Kaisa Mäensivu to Conservatorium Maastricht for an exclusive masterclass with our bassists, composers, and bands! Currently touring with her third album as part of Kaisa’s Machine, she will share her insights on jazz performance, composition, and band dynamics.

This masterclass is organized in collaboration with Lumière Jazz Nights, where Kaisa’s Machine will perform on Monday, March 10. Tickets for the concert can be purchased here.

About Kaisa Mäensivu

Kaisa Mäensivu is a Finnish jazz bassist, composer, and bandleader, known for her imaginative and dynamic playing, described by All About Jazz as "uniquely creative."

She is the founder of Kaisa’s Machine, praised by The New York Times as "a band of young aces," and has led performances at prestigious venues and festivals worldwide, including:
