During this open day you are very welcome to experience the atmosphere and meet our students and teachers from the Jazz Department. You will discover the building and you can participate in diverse workshops.

What to expect this day
Opening
With Irja Zeper, head of programme Jazz. A general presentation of the programme. Afterwards, you will have the possibility for some quick fire questions.
Performance
A combination of Conservatorium Maastricht staff and students will treat you to a short performance before kicking off with our day activities.
Drums Festival
With main subject teachers Daniel Jonkers & Ron van Stratum. Students from the drums department will take it in turns to play as part of their 1st exams.
Vocal Workshop
With main subject teacher Nadine Nix. Experience some of the elements that make up the various side subjects of our jazz vocals department: creativity, improvisation and singing together!
Keys Workshop
With side subject piano teacher and junior coordinator, Mike Roelofs. Join our pianists on their discovery of the various keyboard instruments we have on offer at Conservatorium Maastricht: Nord Pianos, Fender Rhodes & Hammond Organs!
Trumpet Presentation
With main subject teachers Rob Bruynen & Carlo Nardozza. A meet and greet with our trumpet department will include individual presentations from the trumpet students themselves.
Theory Introduction
With theory teacher Greg Torunski. Get a small taster of the theoretical programme on offer at Conservatorium Maastricht. With this you can get an idea if you may need extra preparation before your eventual admission exam.
Saxophone Lessons
With main subject teacher Greg Torunski. Greg will be available during the day for open try-out lessons (open door).
