Maastricht Jazz Awards 2023
In 2023, the Maastricht Jazz Awards will return with a live edition once again. This year Conservatorium Maastricht and Jazz Maastricht want to celebrate the originality of Conservatorium Maastricht’s output in the last five years; our fresh voices in the professional field of Jazz. Our diverse students, alumni and young professionals are therefore all invited to participate in the Maastricht Jazz Awards. The main prize will be a cash prize of €1000, performances at JazzOut Festival, a performance at the showcase festival inJazz and 4 months of coaching to take your musical ambitions to a higher level. The public award winner will receive a cash prize of €500. All entrants will get a free masterclass by Buma Cultuur (date tba) on royalities.

- Saturday, April 1 2023 (JazzOUT Fest Limburg 2023 Maastricht) one of the main prizes
- 21, 22, or 23 June for Injazz Showcasefestival
What about participation?
Participants (applicants and/or bandleaders) will need to have had an active connection with Conservatorium Maastricht in the last five years (i.e. having studied at Conservatorium Maastricht last 5 years - academic year 2017 –2018)

Conditions of participation and signup procedure
The basic conditions are as follows:
- Availability on March 21, 2023 and April 1, 2023 for both the Maastricht Jazz Awards and performance at JazzOUT Fest Limburg 2023 as main prize
- As applicant and bandleader, you have been active as a student at the Conservatoire of Maastricht within the last 5 years (academic year 2017 –2018)
The following information will be necessary for your registration
- Name of the performance
- Line up of the performance
- Contact information (phone number and email)
- Recordings of which minimum
- Video
- Audio
- Electronic Press Kit with:
- Link to music
- Socials
- Biography (300-word description of the band)
- Technical rider
It is no longer possible to register.

Selection via professional jury. The five best acts will be chosen for the final)
