"I am Sebastian Prince. A singer-songwriter, master jazz vocal student of Conservatorium Maastricht, and influencer from Germany. My debut album, Prince, with 10 original songs, is available on all platforms now.
I also have a well-rehearsed set of approximately 75 minutes, accompanied by a live band."
About the Music of Sebastian Prince
It can be attributed to the genre of pop music. But it also has noticeable influences of electronic music, indie, soul, funk, rock, R’n’B and jazz. Among many other aspects of music, lyrics are incredibly important to me.
Many of my songs are about what it’s like to grow up as a queer (in my case bisexual) person, for example. They speak of the lows and highs of my journey.
The album “Prince” is just as diverse as my experiences. From songs that make people laugh and dance, to songs that have drawn a few tears in the eyes of many of my listeners, it’s all there. Songs with deep lyrics, but also songs that are just meant to be fun.
One of the comments I hear most, is that my music is very relatable.
That is where my drive is coming from. I want people to feel understood by my music. I want the listener to feel less alone, especially by listening to the lyrics. By telling my own personal story, I make myself very vulnerable, but that’s what it takes to create a real connection with my audience.
At the same time, I want to create and spread joy and fun. That’s why it’s important to me to have songs that are fun and playful in addition to songs with a very deep meaning. With my music and my album, I want to evoke a journey through all kinds of feelings. To connect with as many people as possible and to make them forget everything else around them is my goal.
When I imagine my future, I see myself on a big stage in front of a huge audience. An audience full of people who understand exactly what I want to express with my music. For that I have gathered a live band of professional musicians from all over Europe.
