Chamber Music Festival

Chamber music ensembles will be treated to an intense series of masterclasses with internationally renowned artists The Oberon Trio and clarinetist Martin Spangenberg at Conservatorium Maastricht this April. This will culminate in a concert evening that turns convention on its head. Backstage Klassiek gives the audience an ‘access-all-areas’ experience with performances in every location except the stage itself!

From April 7-11, 2022, our Chamber Musical Festival will be held again. This edition internationally renowned artists The Oberon Trio and clarinetist Martin Spangenberg will perform in concert and give masterclasses to ensembles from Conservatorium Maastricht. The grand finale of the Festival will be Backstage Klassiek, returning to Parkstad Limburg Theaters Heerlen in its full glory!

Backstage, a sister event to our Night of Classical Music, turns convention on it's head by having concerts everywhere BUT on stage. Audience members gain access to areas of the theatre that are usually off limits, while the participants are provided with a unique concert location.

The Oberon Trio is a fantastic and experienced piano trio. They are often performing with singers and other instrumentalists like Martin Spangenberg. All four are professors at conservatoria; in Rostock, Berlin and Vienna, mainly teaching chamber music.

During our Chamber Music Festival one ensemble will be selected to perform in Muziekgebouw Eindhoven on 14 April at 12.30-13.30
