The belgian conductor Ivan Meylemans is one of the most dynamic conductors active in Europe in recent years. As a guest conductor, Ivan Meylemans has worked with major orchestras in and outside Europe, including: The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Danish Opera Orchestra and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra. Countless CDs and TV and radio recordings show the artistic versitality of Ivan Meylemans.
Solist João Rodrigues
João Rodrigues is a young Portuguese saxophonist based in the Netherlands. João is in a continuous pursuit of sound and musicality. An ambitious musician focused on orchestra and chamber music playing.
Conservatorium Maastricht has an international, multicultural community where highly talented students from all over the world develop their talent in music. Students are supported by the teaching team, which consists of successful (performing) musicians of international name and fame in the classical, jazz and music in education departments.
