Bebop-legend Sheila Jordan is equipped with “one-million-dollar-ears” – that’s what Charlie Parker said about her sixty years ago. She was the first vocalist recorded by the famous BLUE NOTE record label: The CD 'Portrait of Sheila' came out in 1961. Her interpretation of the songs, her scat-singing, spontaneous improvisations with made-up-lyrics made Sheila Jordan famous all over the world - being an ambassador of Jazz. NEA Jazzmaster Award, Life-Time-Achievement-Award, Lil Hardin-Award, IAJE Education Award, workshops all over the world – Sheila is as active as a youngster – having her 93rd birthday this November.
