The idea of creating projects related to wind ensembles was developed at the beginning of this school year by Jos Zegers, the main teacher of the Wind Band Conducting classroom at Conservatorium Maastricht.
The programme includes two contrasting pieces by French composers: Petite Symphonie by the romantic composer Charles Gounod and Suite Persane by André Caplet.
For this project, the ensemble is formed by a doubled wind quintet. The concert is conducted by Spanish conductor Borja Romero.
