Hugo Fredrix

Hugo Fredrix (born 1970) has been a lecturer in Music and Information Technology in all departments of Conservatorium Maastricht since 1999. He is also the system administrator. He is responsible for all the software and equipment, and instructs students in the use of the PC for audio recording and editing, and music notation.

He has his own recording studio and a business in music-related ICT. In this capacity, he also works as an instructor and arranger. He has produced various CDs, written music for carnival singers and created soundtracks, including for film clips used in the Dutch quiz show Twee voor Twaalf. Fredrix is the organist and conductor of several music societies, and the keyboardist and leader of various pop and jazz bands.

Fredrix studied Electronic Keyboard at Conservatorium Maastricht. He subsequently did a degree in Music Technology at the HU University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. In 1994, during his studies, he started working as a system administrator for the music work stations at Conservatorium Maastricht.

Hugo Fredrix (1970) is docent muziek en Informatie Technologie op alle afdelingen van het Conservatorium Maastricht sinds 1999. Hij is ook systeembeheerder en verantwoordelijk voor alle software en apparatuur. Daarnaast instrueert hij studenten in het gebruik van PC voor audio opname, bewerking en muzieknotatie.

Hij heeft zijn eigen opnamestudio en een bedrijf in de muziek-gerelateerde ICT. In deze hoedanigheid werkt hij ook als instructeur en arrangeur. Hij heeft diverse cd's en geschreven muziek geproduceerd voor carnaval zangers en creƫerde soundtracks, waaronder voor filmclips gebruikt in de Nederlandse quiz Twee voor Twaalf. Fredrix is organist en dirigent van verschillende muziekverenigingen, toetsenist en leider van diverse pop en jazz bands.

Fredrix studeerde Elektronisch Toetsenbord bij Conservatorium Maastricht. Hij deed vervolgens een graad in Music Technology aan de HU Hogeschool in Utrecht. In 1994, nog tijdens zijn studie, begon hij te werken als systeembeheerder voor Conservatorium Maastricht.
