After initially studying classical trumpet at Conservatorium Maastricht and qualifying as a classical trumpet teacher, Richard Didden also studied jazz, focusing on lead trumpet.
He had his classical lessons with Theo Wolters, followed by jazz lessons with Rob Bruynen.
Over the past 25 years, Richard has trained countless young musicians in his 'trumpet school', many of whom have gone on to become professional trumpet players.
His extensive experience as a performer and teacher allows Richard to help students develop all aspects of trumpet playing and lay a firm foundation for successful conservatoire studies.

Richard is a much sought-after trumpeter with national and international bands, big bands, and symphonic orchestras.
He was lead trumpet in the orchestra for The Night of the Proms. Richard has toured the world and worked with stars such as Toots Thielemans, Simply Red, Seal, Eros Ramazotti, Elvis Costello, Bob Mintzer, Chuck and Bob Findley, Sinéad O’Connor, and many others.
