Hans Leenders is artistic director of the professional chamber choir Studium Chorale and vocal ensemble Cantatrix Friesland. He is conductor as well of the Basilica choir, Basilica Consort and Schola Cantorum of the Basilica of Our Lady in Maastricht and of the vocal ensemble Pro Arte from Eupen Belgium.

He is a principal teacher for organ at the Maastricht Conservatory  and was teaching Gregorian chant at the Folkwang-University of Arts in Essen Germany during summer-courses. He was teacher for choir conducting at the Kurt Thomas course for many years and founder of the Studium Chorale masterclass for young conductors.
Guest conductor with Philharmonic choir Slovenia, Groot Omroepkoor, Cappella Amsterdam, Europa Cantat and several conservatories in Europe.
Orchestral productions with Philharmonie Zuidnederland, Symfonieorkest Vlaanderen, Concerto d’Amsterdam, Apollo Ensemble, Florilegium Musicum and Ensemble ’88, specialised in contemporary music.
As a composer he is known especially for his vocal music. Famous works are Patina for music theatre,the Missa in simplicitate for singer(s) and string quartet, the new Requiem and the oratorio De Veertien Stonden. 
Hans Leenders is the principal organist of the Basilica of our Lady in Maastricht (Séverin 1652, Möseler 1765?) and organist-titular in the Kopermolen in Vaals (Hilgers 1765) and artistic advisor of the concertseries. (L’Europe & l’Orgue and Marktconcerten Kopermolen).
