Bachelor
Trumpet

Do you want to become an all-round jazz and commercial trumpet player?  Do you want to play that great jazz solo that sounds like the 'masters' or even better… sound like yourself? Do you want to be able to offer the groovy precision that a studio gig demands? Or play lead trumpet in a professional big band? You may also want to teach others to do all this. Whatever your personal goal, Conservatorium Maastricht is the perfect place to guide you towards it.
Through advanced modern trumpet techniques and advanced harmonic knowledge, you will work on your own musical profile with the professional, future ‘playing field’ in mind.
During the four-year Bachelor’s programme, you will be offered a combination of practical and theoretical courses, our weekly big band and many combo rehearsals. You will be challenged to play all kinds of different jazz and pop/commercial styles. You will also benefit from masterclasses by internationally renowned players.
Our trumpet teachers’ extensive experience in playing at the highest level, combined with their teaching skills, have proven to take students to highly regarded playing and teaching positions.
The historical city of Maastricht, with its numerous jam sessions, jazz festival, and the international proximity to Belgium, Germany and even France, offers plenty of opportunities to cross borders and connect with fellow musicians.
So why not study at the Jazz department of Conservatorium Maastricht and turn your passion, ambitions and dreams into a reality!
